Prior to joining Emre Chambers & Associates , Samiya worked at the Office of the Public Guardian under the Ministry of Social and Family Development where she was exposed to handling applications for Lasting Power of Attorneys (LPA) and yearly reviews of Deputy reports.

In her law school days, Samiya worked with numerous international firms on a pro bono basis on matters involving Employment Law, Family Law and Human Rights Law.

Samiya is predominantly tasked with working on a myriad of Corporate matters such as mergers and acquisitions. Samiya is also adept at other types of non-contentious work and dispute resolution work. As a grassroots leader, she has further encouraged members of the public to apply for Lasting Powers of Attorneys to help protect their interests and volunteers in pro bono work at the community level.

Samiya also assists the Firm’s private client management and advisory department with an emphasis on the Firm’s India desk.
