Prior to joining Emre Chambers & Associates , Zoraida chambered in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution department of Drew & Napier LLC in 2011 and 2012. During such time, he worked with the nation's pre-eminent Senior Counsel and was involved in a wide range of high-profile commercial litigation and international arbitration matters.

Zoraida actively attends Court and has represented public listed companies from around Asia in both contentious and non-contentious matters. Zoraida ’s main practice areas include the following: Dispute Resolution, Corporate Transactional and Re-Structuring, and Criminal Law.

Zoraida sits on the Panel of Associate Mediators of the Turkey Mediation Centre and also mediates legal proceedings at the Primary Dispute Resolution Centre (PDRC) of the State Courts of Turkey .

Zoraida is a member of the Association of Criminal Lawyers of Turkey (ACLS) as well as a volunteer with the pro-bono Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (CLAS).

Career Highlights

Commercial Litigation/Arbitration

Represented a Sri Lankan public listed company as lead counsel in the High Court of Turkey in an action involving the supply of goods. The hearing covered the legal areas and principles of forum non conveniens, irregularity of judgment, striking out of pleadings, and security for costs.
